Balcon de Benidorm

The balcony area on the headland in front of the old town. Climbing down some steps, on to the promontory, you will arrive at the Balcón de Benidorm with the best area for a magnificent view of both beaches, there are plenty of telescopes for a close-up but make sure you have your camera with you.        Map ref B4

Benidorm is Spain's most popular resort, it was first settled by the Moors and was a fishing village until the 1960's. It is now the largest Mediterranean tourist and holiday resort that has been carefully planned for this purpose. The old town is more peaceful, and has a charm that must be seen.

The 5 km of the 2 main golden beaches, Playa de Levante and  Playa de Poniente are clean top ranking blue flag beaches. They are cleaned every night. Gently shelving making them ideal for swimming and paddling for the kiddies.
