Les Fonts de L'Algar (Algar waterfalls)

A well visited beauty spot on the river Algar inland from Benidorm.  The area has been lanscaped with paths and water chanels to make it easier for visitors to few the falls, some of which are more like  cascading weirs.

The pools formed by the weirs have become very popuular to have an embrasing swim in the clear water. It is interesting watching people trying to swim against the current that flows through narrower channels.

The road that runs near to the falls winds it's way through beautiful countryside, with loquat plantations.

A Font del Moro restaurant is located near to the first and nicest of the falls. Addtional restaurants Algar de Don Juan, Casa Marces, La Cascada and Casa Marcos, are located on the road, these usually have large car parks for the coach tours that visit the area.

Camping Bar-b-que and Picnic areas

An area is set aside for Camping, Bar-b-que and Picnics. Please note that these activities are not allowed except in the dedicated areas.
