Balcon de Benidorm

The balcony area on the headland in front of the old town. Climbing down some steps, on to the promontory, you will arrive at the Balcón de Benidorm with the best area for a magnificent view of both beaches, there are plenty of telescopes for a close-up but make sure you have your camera with you.        Map ref B4

Benidorm information and guide

Benidorm is Spain's most popular resort, it was first settled by the Moors and was a fishing village untill the 1960's. It is now the largest Mediterranean tourist and holiday resort that has been carefully planned for this purpose. The old town is more peaceful, and has a charm that must be seen.

The variety of entertainment, warmth and hospitality, fantastic nightlife and efficiency of the tourist industry Benidorm extremely popular.

A more tradional Spain surrounds the town if you care to venture a few kilometres.

Beaches

The 5 km of the 2 main golden beaches, Playa De Levante and  Playa De Poniente are clean top ranking blue flag beaches. They are cleaned every night. Gently shelving making them ideal for swimming and paddling for the kiddies.

Benidorm Aquarium

Situated in Benidorm old quarter behind the Town Hall which is located at the southern end of the Levante Beach where you will find a large selection of sea inhabitants of the Mediterranean together with tropical fish.

Aiguera Park

The biggest park in Benidorm was built to transform a stretch of the old riverbed running down from the bullring to the town centre. Within the park is a bust of the singer, Julio Iglesias.            Map ref B4

There are no shortages of cabaret bars, clubs, karaoke catering for lively fun loving Brits. Party untill you drop.
