Alicante is the main airport for The Costa Blanca

The airport is located between the 2 roads, the A79 (turn left onto N338) and the N332 (turn right onto N338) 11 kilometres(7 miles) south west of the town of Alicante.  Just to the south east of the airport is the village of El Altet which was the name, El Altet Airport, previously used for the airport

Alicante Airport Bus

Alicante - Benidorm run from Alicante bus station in downtown Alicante.

Getting to Bus Station from the Airport:
Bus C 6 from the Airport to the bus station Purta de Marto.

Stop location
The bus stop is No.30, out of the arrival building, go to the left after crossing the first road.

 There is a short term Car Park oposite the terminal buildind and a long term car park next to the terminal.Parking at the Airport is Expensive. Cheaper long term parking is available near to the Airport.

Transport Alicante Town

There is additional transport from Alicante to The Costa Brava coastal and inland towns and cities from Alicante Town via either

• Alsa Buses The majority of towns are covered by the bus network
• FGV Train / Tram. Mainly coastal resorts and villages near the coast north of Alicante
• RENFE National train network.
  • Connects to Madrid, Valencia, Elche, Orihuela, Murcia, Aqilas, Albacete
  • Usless for the coastal resorts north of Alicante - use FGV Train / Tram or Bus

  FGV Train / Tram Alicante town to Costa Brava resorts North of Alicante

The Ferrocarril de la Generalitat Valenciana (FGV) the Alicante - Benidorm - Denia train is a private small gauge railway. The railway station is in on the Avenida de Villajoyosa on the West side of Alicante Next to the coast
NOTE: This is a seperate station from the main railway station.

The rail station is about 1km away so take a taxi if you have luggage.

RENFE - National  Rail Services

RENFE, the national rail network runs to the West and South from Alicante. The Northern line runs inland (West) before turning North joining the coast North of Denia thus by-passing most of the Costa Blanca and Benidorm. The RENFE station (Estacion FC de Madrid) is in the centre of Alicante

By Car

From Alicante, drivers should take either:

the Autovia Alicante-Murcia A-7and leave at the airport junction

the national road 332 then N-338 to the airport.

From Benidorm, drivers should take the Autovia A-7.
